LATEST UPDATE: Arrests made in case being investigated by Modoc County Sheriff's in Tulelake

Tulelake, CA—Yesterday in Tulelake across the street from Tulelake City Hall an investigation was being conducted by Modoc County Sheriff's at 575 Main Street. Modoc Sheriffs Department, and the Chief of Police Tony Ross, were outside the residences. Modoc County Sheriff's vehicles and a Tulelake squad car were parked in front, as officers were going in and out of the two apartments on the corner at 575 Main Street.

The property on the corner located at 575 Main Street is still owned by the former District Attorney of Alturas. The same Gary Woolverton from Modoc County and the same District Attorney who offered Christopher Bradbury, a plea deal and where the murder charge was dropped. As a Modoc County judge upheld the plea bargain at a hearing in Alturas. The same case where a Northern California man once suspected of killing a girl in June 1992 pleaded guilty to being an accessory after her murder and was sentenced to two years in prison. Where Jaime Javier Perez, 32 was arrested with three counts of burglary, felony theft, possession of a stolen firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and conspiracy.

Another suspect in the case, Jesus Olegario Ayala, 31, from Klamath Falls, was arrested on Tuesday.
