Former Convicted Treasurer Kim Keiser made past due restitution payments

Tulelake, CA— Tulelake’s Former Convicted administrative clerk/treasurer Kim Keiser who plead guilty on 2/6/2012 for embezzling $15,000 from the city of Tulelake.

Where the agreement orders her to pay restitution in the amount of $15,000 to the city of Tulelake and she is barred from ever again taking public office in the state of California.

The last payment was received on 9/9/2013 and the next payment was not received until 12/17/2013 where Keiser made a payment of $150.00 to make up for the last three payments missed that were past due.

Keiser’s last payment was past due according to the agreed repayment schedule made by the formal court probation agreement specifications.

Keiser’s next Due Date is 1/25/14 with the minimum of $50.00 to be paid towards the restitution to the city of Tulelake.

A former juror commented, “If you do the crime you should do the time. In this case, it is not going to be any hard time, but it will give her something to think about.” Which was a comment made by a juror during Keiser’s plea agreement court appearance?

Keiser had served as Tulelake’s administrative clerk and treasurer for approximately seven years, said Tulelake Police Department Chief (TPD) Chief Tony Ross.

According to Quinn, while Keiser worked at Tulelake City Hall, she accepted payments from citizens for utility fees and pocketed the cash.
