Editorial: Passing the Buck

Tulelake, CA— Editorial: I am still trying to get to the bottom of the complaint and what authority they had according to the PC code and Fire Department Codes to have the horse trailer towed away and by whose authority and what PC code and Fire Department Regulations gave them that authority or power.

Well, this is what I get. It wasn’t the police department; it was the city that made the complaint. Then when asked what code the city was using to enforce the horse trailer being towed away. I was then referred back to the police department, because they are the ones that have the authority to enforce the PC and Fire Codes to have the horse trailer towed away.

Is your head spinning enough yet? The main concern was if the Garbage truck would be able to get passed the tong of the horse trailer.

There was no problem, the Garbage truck made it past the horse trailer just fine this morning with no problems. The owner of the horse trailer arrived close to 10 AM or a little while after the Garbage Truck had emptied the trash bin located at the rear of 671C Fourth Street in the parking lot in the rear of the apartment building complex.

The alley was clear now and the person making the complaint should have investigated the complaint to see if in fact the horse trailer had been removed yet, before opening their mouth and inserting their foot. But choose instead to cop an attitude and to make the following statement:

Quote: If the horse trailer would not have been moved, I would have ordered to have it towed away this afternoon. Really?

A city employee that has no authority to do anything of the kind, and the only person that does, is a pay grade above this long time city employee. In fact, this very same employee is nothing more, than an employee that has no power to do anything or say anything, but it seems copped an attitude instead.

The only one with the authority to give such an order is Brett the "Director of Public Works", not the employee, who seems to think he yields more power in the city, than he actually does have authority to do so.

Being a long time employee does not give him the authority to make administrative decisions as they are once again done by those above his pay grade. The person entrusted to make those decisions is the department head also known as the Director of Public Works, not an employee that thinks he has more authority, than in reality he really does not.

It is time for what is called a reality check and going though proper channels before taking it upon his self to make demands from residents, citizens and register votes in the US, State, County and City elections, without first having the authority to do so, and this employee did not have that authority to my knowledge and never has had that authority.

And now a formal complaint will be filed, (that is as soon as the city can find the form to be filled out with that idea in mind,) so that a complaint can be formally lodge and filed on the record, for the record with the city as well as department head responsible for his employee's under his leadership as the

"Director of Public Works for the city of Tulelake, CA."
