Tonight's special meeting at city hall and the results

Tulelake, CA— At tonight’s meeting general information on the intent of hiring a new police officer. The Mayor Randy Darrow and the Chief of Police Tony Ross placed the agenda item on the agenda.

The council decided to go with recommending the next officer being hired for Tulelake Police Departmen go through the police Academy. Where in a perfect world the background check could take from a few months or longer to find the next suitable candidate that can pass the background check.

There is an indication that Rachael will only be staying until March. And the soonest a replace can be found to take over her place or add a third police officer is in April.

The minutes for this meeting will be approved at the next regular meeting of the Tulelake City Council on Monday Jan 6, 2014 @ 7 PM located at the Tulelake City Hall.
