Yreka, CA-- Article Log
Today March 10th, (yesterday now) was a very interesting day. But, I will post about it some other time when I post all the other blogs I have written but have been unable to post them for legal reasons on my working vacation in Yreka, CA.
Along with all the great new friends I have met from all walks of life, from Homeless people on the streets to Top officials in the Siskiyou Sheriffs Office, to police officers on the street, to court house employees and others all over Yreka. They are beginning to recognize me on the street as I push my Homeless shopping cart all around town, while working on my legal case in the courts presently with a hearing date set for March 20th, 2014.
On Sunday I went to church at the "Decision Life Church" @ 1301 S. Main Street, Yreka, CA with Pastor Don Larreau @ 530-841-0541. I just happened to show up at a little after 11:00 AM and I thought I was going to be late getting there for the service with people I had met on Sunday Feb 23rd when I was here in Yreka the first time courtesy to the Tulelake Police Department and my driver officer Rachel Abel of the Tulelake PD on Feb 22, 2014. Then I hitch hiked back to Tulelake on the 25th of Feb and arrived at noon in my own home to finally sleep in my own bed again.
I arrived back here on Monday the 3rd of March to continue where I left off with my legal stuff preparing for a hearing I have on March 20th at 8:30 AM in Family Court, room 206 in the Siskiyou County Court House. I am still working on my working legal vacation and meeting even more new friends everyday who are now following the TNT Blog from Yreka, CA.
I was a little surprised when I entered the the "Decision Life Church" when I arrived because it was a group of people there who were in a circle having a conversation. Then, after I entered they all stopped what they were doing and looked in my direction. Then, I looked at them with a questioning look on my face. "Am I late for church?" I do not recall at the time or who it was that answered my question.
But someone said, "No, you are not late. This is one of our outreach Sunday's that we have four times a year. And this is one of those Sunday's, James." And yes they knew me by my first name as this is where I was on Sunday Feb 23rd the first time I was on vacation in Yreka, CA courtesy of the Tulelake PD the last time.
After I interrupted their group meeting I asked if they would pray for me about the situation I am up against right now, and they did. We all did a prayer together. Then after a short while during the prayer someone said James you go ahead and asked God for what you need and we will pray with you as you lead the prayer in your needs before GOD. Needs, not wants.
Then I asked if they would pray for a good friend of mine back in Tulelake whose Mother was ill and in the hospital. We then prayed for my friend who lives in Tulelake and his mother.
I then asked them if they would mind looking up a scripture for me. One I keep telling my friend when he and I pray together for his mother. "When two or more are gathered together, the Lord will hear their prayer and answer them according to his will and purpose for our lives". And that scripture my dear friend in Tulelake is Matt 18:18-20 and you know who you are as you read this blog from me in Yreka to you in Tulelake, CA.
On this past Sunday before I arrived at the "Decision Life Church" I met a couple when I was at "Greenhorn Park" visiting it for the first time in my life as a Shopping Cart Homeless person on the streets and a person on a legal working vacation as a tourist too who really lives in Tulelake, CA and has a home there and cannot wait to go home again on March 20, 2014 right after the hearing, if the same friend who brought me here would come and pick me up on the 20th, plus I will need to her to be here on the 20th as a witness for me too in my legal case, so if my good friend who reads my blogs could pass that message to her it would be of a great service to me as I have no cell phone or money right now to put any minutes on my cell phone to call her or anyone else right now for that matter as I am penniless in Yreka, which means I am flat broke. And only through the generosity of others by giving me money that I do not solicit or ask for or even pan handle to get it. Right now presently as I write this blog I have twenty seven cents to my name.
I was in the upper picnic parking area of "Greenhorn Park" in Yreka. Rijiv and Maryanne noticed me and asked if I needed anything? And if I would be interested in having their old fashioned Cheddar Cheese and Toasted Harvest Crackers? They asked if I wanted some peanut butter too? And I said, "Sorry I do not like peanut butter" I told them.
I then went on to introduce my self to them and shared with them my story about how I write the local news for Tulelake and write other articles and post chapters out of my book, "Up from from" here time to time. And I just checked a little while ago as to how many people have been to the TNT blog since their first story was posted on December 11th, 2013. It is now at 8,654 people have been to TNT from then until now presently. Wow!
Greenhorn Park is a very interesting place to visit and explore as there are lots of trails and history in this park located in Yreka, CA. And while I am still on my working vacation I plan on spending as much time there as I can where I am still here on this Adventure of a life time, not only as a chapter in my next book, but maybe even a book all by it's self.
