Yreka, CA—
Note now from Tulelake,CA—
I decided to head the other way again back across Main Street to the Chevron located downtown. I was almost at the Chevron when a thought occurred to me or it dawned on me. I needed to find out how much it cost to catch a ride on the Stage Bus from Yreka to Weed. And take the Stage to Weed and get off near the Hwy 97 cut off for Klamath Falls. Then get off near Hwy 161 to Tulelake, CA.
I arrived at the Chevron around 7:15 AM and asked if she knew the time for the next Stage Bus to Weed. I got the directions on how to catch the Stage Bus. I walked over to the Stage Bus office and to my surprise it was ONLY $4.00 from Yreka to Weed. I looked to check the time for the next departure and it was at 7:54 AM. It was around 7 AM now. I needed to make up my mind to catch the one at 7:54 AM or wait for the next one.
I decided to head to Rite Aid Store and leave a note there for Judy. She was the pharmacist I had been trying to meet every since I was here since Saturday February 22, 2014. It was now about 7:40 AM. I needed to go to the restroom but there was no time now to do it. So I was going to have to hold it until I got to Weed. There was not enough time to find a restroom. I had about 5 minutes now before the Stage Bus for Weed would arrive.
The Stage Bus for Weed arrived and I asked the driver how long a ride it was to Weed? The driver then said, “It was about a 40 minute ride. I paid the $4.00 for the fair to Weed and now after climbing aboard heading for Weed at 7:54 AM on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.
I arrived in Weed around 8:40 AM. I got off and finally went to the restroom. And a guy gave me a ride to the 97 Hwy heading to Klamath Falls, OR. I was there for a bit when a lady rode by on her bicycle and said, “I hope you get a ride”. After she saw me with my sign.
A little while had passed and a guy by the name of Floyd had told me that he saw me when he passed by me heading to Klamath Falls, OR. Then he mentioned that he then looked down at his gas gage and decided to turn around and go back and get gas to be on the safe side for his trip to Klamath Falls. After getting his gas he then decided to give me a ride by picking me up. He was telling me his story about panning for Gold or something like that from what I remember of the conversation he and I were having on our way to Klamath Falls for him and for me to the turn off of Hwy 161 State Hwy cut off for Tulelake, CA.
By the time we got to Dorris and he shared his story with me. He then wanted to know about my story. It was too late now to go over the details of my story of where I had been and what had happened to me. Besides from what he shared with me he did not go on the Internet anyway. He then dropped me off at the cut off on Hwy 161 for Tulelake. I thanked him for the ride this and closer than I was before in Weed. I stood and watch 6 cars go by leading towards Tulelake. Not one would stop and pick me up. It was about 10:45 AM now. Then I thought “what the heck, it was only 20 miles now.” I started walking towards Tulelake now. I figured maybe someone from Tulelake would recognize me and pick me up and give me a ride. The other problem I had right now on this stretch of Hwy I had no water with me and that could end up being dangerous as I had forgot about getting water. But, Oh, well, I would survive and make it home one way or the other.
As I was walking a guy in a van picked me up. He was heading to the Wild Life Refuge. He wanted to see what was out there. He lived in Klamath Falls and had most recently moved there. He wanted to know more about some good places to eat in Tulelake. I mentioned to him that Mike and Wanda’s was suppose to be a good place to eat and so was the Jolly Kone. But a real good place to eat was Captain Jacks’ for real good food, but expensive but well worth the price.
He also wanted to know about the Japanese Internment Camp and I mentioned to him they have part of the towers at the Tulelake Fair Grounds. His name was John. I just wanted to get home and sleep in my own bed instead of the cold floor of the Siskiyou County Jail Lobby. Like I had for the last 3 days since Saturday when I was arrested for violating the (EPO) Emergency Protective Order by accidentally getting too close by walking down a nearby alley off of Modoc Ave and given a ride courteously of the Tulelake Police Department and Officer Rachael Able who will be heading to Mt. Shasta to be a police officer there soon. John decided they would take me all the way home to Tulelake. We first drove by the Fair Grounds once we arrived in town so John could see the towers behind the fence of the Museum at the Fair Grounds from the information I was sharing with John. I shared my information with him so he could contact me sometime when he is in the area. Then I got out of his van with all of my stuff and he said he would contact me some time in the future.
The first person I called after I arrived back home and back in the door. I called Officer Rachael Able to let her know I was home. And the first thing she mentioned to me was, “Where were you at 6:30 AM this morning? And I said, “not in Tulelake, Why? And I can prove it very easily by several things with people and places in my filing of my CH-100, soon to be filed and a hearing date set for it as to exactly where I was and what time with all the non-bios witnesses being called to the stand to support that very FACT that I was in Yreka, not Tulelake at 6:30 AM on Tuesday February 25, 2014. .
