Tulelake, CA— Tulelake Summer Water Schedule for everyone
Tonight was Tom Cordonier’s first meeting as the New Mayor for Tulelake, CA. At tonight’s meeting the first item on the agenda was placed there by Mayor, Tom Corndonier about adhering to the city water policy.
Mayor, Tom Cordonier pointed out that if the citizens of Tulelake are to adhere to the Summer Watering schedule then the City of Tulelake should follow suit. Discussion took place but no action was taken.
Other items were discussed such as several end of the year write off’s of bad debt which were not worth the time or the money spent collecting them. It would cost more than what were owed to the city. So it was felt it might be best to write them off as bad debt.
Notification in writing of setting up a negotiation team for any MOU’s or contracts that expire at the end of the 2014 calendar year was put on the agenda by Randy Darrow was discussed by the council. Then the council moved on to the Current fiscal year budget review and proposed 2014/2015 annual budget reviews.
Starting with City Administration with total revenues projected at being $320,668 and projected expenses at $159,168 with a net surplus of 161,500 for the proposed budget FY1415.
General Fund for the Police Department total expenses projected to be $172,775 with two or three officers soon to be on board some time in the next few months. Where the city general fund pays for half of the expenses and a grant contributes the other half. Projection for that grant is in the neighborhood of $100,500 for the Proposed Budget FY1415.
Projected sewer fund for FY1415 is set to be $4,486,800 to work towards completing the sewer project that has been worked on by Public Works Director Brett Nystom, the City Engineer Jeremy and former Siskuyou Supervisor Jim Cook and his Business Community Development on Call.
Susan Lloyd the CPA for the City Tulelake and Tony Ross had a back and forth discussion where both agreed they would meet to discuss the Police Department Budget to come to terms that they both can agree too.
Mayor, Tom Cordonier suggested that the two find time to get together to work out the budget while Susan Lloyd is presently in Tulelake working on the final budget that can be passed at the next regular Tulelake City Council Meeting scheduled for July 7 2014 at 7 PM.
In public comments James Garland discussed several items with the main one being that he had found out the proposed cost for insurance for the possible BMX Park in Tulelake. Where former Mayor, Randy Darrow has a meeting with the Bureau of Land Management and he offered to find out more about the BLM property behind Roper Park and the City of Tulelake Yard where the proposed BMX Park may be located or out on the lot next to the Tulelake Volunteer Fire Department.
Which is set to be on the next agenda with further discussion on the BMX Park placed there for the next Regular Tulelake City Council Meeting slated for July 7, 2014 at the city hall in Tulelake, CA.
