Tulelake Recall effort FAILS

Tulelake, CA— It is a official the Recall FAILS

At the Tulelake City Council meeting in Tulelake, CA it was announced and on record that the recall effort for the Mayor of Tulelake, Randy Darrow has FAILED.

After the pledge of Allegiance the approval of the minutes from the meeting held on June 3, 2014 were approved. During the approval of the bills Tom Cordonier asked Tony Ross why he was submitting a bill so early for insurance because by doing so would mean paying it early for next years billing as Tony Ross submitted it. The question being asked is “Why”? According to Tom Cordonier it then would mean that a bill for next years insurance would be coming out of this years budget by paying it early. Robing Peter to pay Paul in other words.

An update as to this exchange between Tom Cordoniar and Tony Ross will be reported in the next update for clarification as to exactly what transpired word for word on record as time allows.

Next on the agenda was the certifying on record declaring the results of the special municipal recall election held on June 3, 2014 as can be read as follows in Resolution 14-09.

Where Jerry King made a motion to approve Resolution 14-09 and it was seconded by Dar Carroll.

There was an agenda item placed on the agenda by Council member Tom Cordonier that all attachments for agenda items must be turned in with the agenda request form prior to any scheduled regular or special City Council Meeting like what happened in the last city Council meeting where Tony Ross presented the council with his budget without being on the agenda but done during department updates. Where the council was suppose to follow along with the way Tony wanted to do his budget without the council having time to look at it before the meeting started. Those kinds of things are also what Tom Cordonier was referring to as the discussion between Tom, Tony and Joe transpired over placing documents in packets at the deadline on Friday and not on Monday, as has been the case in the past.

All the agenda items and their documents that accompany them should be in the packets on Friday and not slipped in on Monday at the last minute just prior to the city council meeting. Otherwise those agenda items need to be tabled until all the information is there and all council members have had ample time to review the documents as has NOT been the case and situation in the past with some people (general public) or department heads like at the last meeting like what Tony Ross did when presenting his budget to the council at the last minute and expecting the council to know or see anything in it they had not had the time to review prior to its presentation at a city council meeting.

Council member Tom Cordonair begins to make a motion where Joe Cordoniar points out that the motion needs to be very specific and should be a very well informed decision. As the discussion continued where Tom Cordonair makes the motion "that all paper work or documents being placed in the council members packets on Friday to be picked up and ready then", and not at the last minute on Monday's to be placed in their packets and in some cases moments before they pick up their packets for those who wait to the last minute or hour to pick up their packets before a city council meeting.

Where once again Tony Ross had a problem with that being done, especially for his department, as it seems Tony Ross seems to thinks he is immune to all the rules that are applied to others and Tony Ross seems to want things his way or the highway as the statement that was made in the last city council meeting by Jerry King. Where in the last meeting on the on June 2, 2014, the council was presented with the Tulelake Police Department Budget by Tony Ross at the last minute at a city council meeting. Tony Ross presented his budget the way Tony Ross wants to do his budget or else he is not going to do it any way but his way. Which in most cases could be considered insubordination and cause for termination. After all the city of Tulelake is the employer and ALL EMPLOYEE’S and Department Heads shall do their budgets according to how the city of Tulelake wants it done, not how the EMPLOYEE wants it done or that EMPLOYEE should either resign or be terminated Immediately as to what would happen in the real world in an employer/employee situation. Not where the Employee tells the Employer how he is going to do it or else. Or Else what?

Where it seems Tony Ross has a problem following rules, except the ones he wants to follow or the ones he wants to make up as he goes along. Or like how Tony Ross picks and chooses as to which laws he wants to enforce and which laws he wants to ignore depending on who the person is he wants to protect or come down on or which side of Tony Ross you happen to be on. His good side or his bad side, after all Tony Ross is known to play favorites, instead of doing his job, the one where the city of Tulelake pays him more than he is worth and enough to do it correctly. According to the city of Tulelake, his employer and the city councils terms, not Tony Ross's according to his terms.

As some seem to think as long as you stay on the good side of Tony, then he might look the other way; but God forbid if you end up on the bad side of Tony Ross. Watch out and watch your back, along with Tony Ross and his little groupies.
