Tulelake, CA— Closed Session, New Internet Service Provider
The City of Tulelake City council meeting took a different turn last night. Instead of going in order after approval of the bills the council moved to closed session with Item #9 on the agenda for the Regular Meeting of the Tulelake City Council on CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNCIL-EXISTING LITIGATION was put on the agenda by council member Randy Darrow.
The Mayor, Tom Cordonier is on vacation and Mayor Pro Tem Bob Hughbansk was running the meeting last night in the council chambers in Tulelake, CA in the Mayors absence.
On the Agenda as item #8 “Possibility of using the Water Tower to provide Internet Service to the residents and businesses of Tulelake. It was the third time Josh Egalite; owner of Steelinternet.com was on the agenda for discussion about placing an antenna on the water town. Josh presented four possible contracts for the city of Tulelake to review. But a motion was made for Josh to instead put together a contract and present it to the city council at it’s next Regular city council meeting on September 2, 2014 for review with the city council.

Item #5 was scratched from the agenda as Roman Alonson was not present for the agenda “Need for more security and police presence due to increasing gang problems but was discussed by Tony Ross, Chief of Police and his wife as he referred to her as his wife on record at last nights city council meeting in Tulelake, CA. Where there was a difference of opinion as to the cases that have been resolved and the comments made last night by Leah Ross.
Tony Ross stated there were six cases in Tulelake that were being cleared and Lear Ross stated there was only one during the Department Head update: section of last night’s City Council Meeting. Further verification will be provided from the record of the exact comments from last night’s city council meeting made by both Tony Ross and Leah Ross. Where Tony Ross for the record also mention the problem of getting new police officers due to the long time it takes for the clearance of new applicants.
Tony Ross explained in further discussion on this subject in detail where he also wants to clarify for the record comments that were directed at him. Earlier there was discussion by Jeremy Morris the City Engineer and Jim Cook former Siskiyou County Supervisor about the Planning and Engineering Amendment for Waste Water Treatment Plant with revisions to project scope requested by State Resource Board.
