Tulelake, CA— Leans against real properties

Tonight’s meeting started with the Mayor, Tom Cordonier reading the conduct rules of the Tulelake City Council Meeting. Where they moved on to the agenda's next item, which was the approval of the Minutes from August 18, 2014 regular meeting minutes from the city of Tulelake city council. (See Minutes below:)

During the discussion of the bills, Council Member Randy Darrow had a question about two charges on the bills for Pacific Power about the billing on those items for the wells. Randy Darrow mentioned he had not noticed that before and there was discussion with Jenny the City Administrative Clerk and Brett the Director of Public works on where the wells were located, to clarify the reason for the billing that Randy Darrow was questioning.

Then the discussion next was where to place this years Christmas tree. The plan is to dig a hole on the old Sportsmen’s Hotel property and plant a Christmas tree there. Instead of where it was located last year in the Middle of the Street on Main Street, near Veteran's Park and Jocks Super Market on the corner of Main Street and Modoc Ave.

The Christmas tree will be planted on the old Sportsman’s Hotel, that the city of Tulelake now owns. Between Veteran's Park and Perry’s Service Station, that no longer exists on Main Street.

Next on the agenda were the approval and reading of the resolutions 14-12, 14-13, 14-14 and 14-15 of the establishing of leans against certain real properties for back water, sewer and garbage charges. Where Council Member Bob Hughbanks asked the question. "Why did it take five years to do this?" Where Jenny replied "It took six months to get the program up and running and in place."

Then the city of Tulelake tabled the approval of the 2013/2014 final budgets. Then moved on to discussion of safety equipment for the Waste Water Treatment Plant about purchasing the equipment.

Finally, the city council went into closed session for a Police applicant Interview and the Mayor, Tom Cordonier would make an announcement of closed session.
