Creative Writing

Tulelake, CA— Finding ideas for inspiration as it flows naturally

I find for me the early morning hours are best when I write creative articles or stories. Everyone who likes to write they say find an hour or hours of the day that works best for them.

For me I try to get at least one story or article done per day at the beginning of the day. Once, I get the idea or subject, it just seems to flow and I don’t have to think much about how I am going to write the next sentence or what exactly, I am going to write down.

I just start typing away and the rest comes as I am working on it. Sometimes, I have to stop for a moment or two to gather my thoughts, but other than that, it just takes off, as if it has a life of its own. The part I don’t like is going back and doing the editing, but it has to be done. Otherwise, I just let the words flow from my head down to my fingers as I type my thoughts down.

Writing comes easy for me. Lot’s of people dread writing and they loathe having to do it. But, I have written things all my life. I used to have to do it the hard way with pen and paper, now that was drudgery.

I have gained many new friends in real life and on the Internet through my writing, and have in turn, lost new friends in real life, and on the Internet, because they don’t know the real me, or have heard something about me that is not true. I am just tied of trying to explain to people what has happened or what is still going on.

When I write news reports they are much different than my creative writing sessions, when I write stories, as I have to stick to the "facts", and not let my personal opinion enter the report, as I can always write an editorial about the situation later. Then, I can add my opinion

When writing my creative articles and stories I try and keep them short, not more than a page or two; due to the interest of the reader, as well. I try to pick areas of interest to most of us that have to do with human nature or our feelings in life on one subject, or the other.

What takes the most time after I have written a story or article is going back through it and trying to find all my errors, before I post it on the blog. But, that is not always possible because sometimes I don’t catch them, until I have already posted it and shared it on face book, but most people understand it and what I am trying to say, even with all the grammar and word usage errors. They know, I will try and go back and fix them later. In fact, sometimes there are a few readers that read it before I get it done, they read it in the raw form, before I even share it to face book.

Would you believe I am already at that one page mark, it does not take long, once the words begin to flow, along with my thoughts that I am trying to share with others.

Short, sweet and simple. 569 words.
