Tulelake, CA— Musical Chairs
Bob Hughbanks, Mayor Pro Temp began the meeting with the reading of the rules for city council meetings, the same way it has been done when Tom Cordonier the former Mayor of Tulelake, CA was Mayor with the approval of the minutes of the November 17, 2014 regular minutes and the approval of the bills.
Then onto Resolution 14-20: Acceptance of certified results from the General City election of November 4, 2014. Joe Cordonier did his last official duty as City Clerk for Tulelake, CA and immediately left the building.
Oath of Office was the next item on the agenda and with the exit of Joe Cordonire next in line for giving the oath of office was the new city clerk, Iva Rogers. Where a copy of the oath of office had to be located before the meeting could continue.
Once located the meeting began again with Iva Rogers giving her self the oath of office by reading it for Tulelake City Clerk position. Then Iva Rogers gave the oath of office to Hank Ebinger by handing Hank the copy of oath of office to read and be sworn in as a city council member. Next in line was Kevin Nicholson to be handed the piece of paper with the oath of office on it for Kevin to read. Richard Marcillac stepped up to read his oath of office after Iva Rogers handed Richard the same oath of office to read. Finally the last person to be sworn in was the City Treasure, Carla Perez who was given the same oath of office to read.
Next on the agenda was the reassignment of Council Members where Council Member Randy Darrow made a motion to have Hank Ebinger be appointed as the next mayor for the city of Tulelake with a second by Richard Marcillac and a motion to have Bob Hughbanks, to continue being Mayor Pro Temp for the city of Tulelake city council.
Public works employees semi-annual comp payout was approved and passed and a presentation of Community Service Awards were presented to two Tulelake Citizens.
There was a department head discussion with Tony Ross, Chief of Police on the status of the hiring of City of Tulelake new Tulelake Police Officers.
Where I went home to upload and write about the Tulelake City Council meeting and was interrupted by having eggs thrown at my front door. Siskiyou County Dispatch was called and a report was filed with the Chief of Police, Tony Ross for further investigation of the incident.
