Tulelake, CA— The love of writing
As the days go by I can’t seem to get away from writing. It’s a bad habit I have it seems. As long as I write something in a day’s time I am happy and content. It means I have at least accomplished one thing.
Instead of sitting all day in front of a computer screen, cell phone or what ever device it is that is used to communicate these days. As the day goes on people seems to think they are communicating with one another, when in reality all they are doing is typing words or sharing ideas or news stories at their finger tips. Are they really accomplishing anything at all?
Sure their friends see what they have shared if they happen to be on facebook but have they really reached out and touched someone. Sure they have shared lots of great insights and thoughts and ideas with others.
How many of these people actually spent time with each other than where they let their fingers do the walking. Not saying I am not just as guilty as they are when it comes to the personal touch of a friend. With a warm hello or good-by as the saying goes as “two ships passing in the night” and never actually getting the human touch from someone they care about or would love to spend time being together.
It is always at a distance, never close and intimate. Nevertheless we all do it, day in and day out or night and day.
What is really sad is when you have some people that loathe you and are able to see you and how happy you are and how sad they are in life. Even to the point if they see something that represents you, they tare it up and leave it on the ground for others to see their handy work. How sad it is for a person like that to have that much hatred locked up inside himself or herself against another person.
I live each day hoping to reach as many people as I can through the gift I was given and use it daily and that is to write about the world around me and be able to share it with others as if they are sitting right beside me in an intimate kind of way.
Just like others I read those words of inspiration and pass them on as they do. But I also write my share of inspirational words and share them each and everyday with the gift that God gave me. I am not famous in this life, but when my time does come to die I can at least say I left something behind, for others to read and enjoy, with the insights of the life I lived, and the friends that lived it with my many articles, stories and books I will leave behind for others to read.
Knowing I was able to accomplish one thing at time, one day at time and that is this bad habit of writing not only what is in my heart but what has been going on in the world around me.
So enjoy and have a nice day until we meet again in this life or the next.
