Tulelake, CA— Standing up
There comes a time when we must stand up for what is right over what is wrong. Letting it go on without saying a word against it, makes you just as guilty of allowing it to go on.
As long as people feel they can get what they want through intimidation and falsehoods they will continue down that road until they meet someone or something that puts a road block in their path. Someone they cannot control or will allow them to control them.
That is what it is all about, “control” and if they can control you and keep you in your place they have won and you have lost. You have to be willing to stand up and say, “I am not going to take this anymore”. But as long as you sit back and do nothing they will always win. They need to be told that their nonsense does not fly anymore and that you are going to speak out against it rather they like it or not.
As long as you allow a small group to control your lives you are nothing but a part of the problem. Instead of standing up and working towards putting a stop to it by speaking out against what you know deep down inside your soul is “wrong”.
How can you face your friends and your neighbors and hold your head up high when you allow nonsense like this to go on around you. The only way for change to come is for you to speak out against what is wrong over what you know is the right thing to do.
So why do you allow it to continue getting the best of you? You are better than that or at least it can be hoped that you are. So why do you allow it to continue. Speak up and say something about it or are you going to continue to allow a small group to control and run your life?
Wishing someone else “good luck” is the cowards way out. If you are brave enough to speak out in the first place, then put your words where your mouth is at when wanting to stand up against what is wrong over what is right.
But like most people you sit back and let someone else do it for you. You have just as much power as they do if you are brave enough to do something about it or use it.
As long as you sit back and do nothing, nothing will be done. Sitting back and complaining about it only gives it lip service. But standing up and doing something about it is an action they do not expect because they are so used to getting their way for so long.
So as long as you sit back and do nothing, nothing will be done. They win, you lose and so the story goes…
Do your part or stop complaining, the choice is up to you now.
Actions speak louder, than words.
