Tulelake, CA-- Where to begin
In my lifetime I have never seen such disrespect of a president or the office of the presidency. When 47 Republican Senators send a letter to a foreign nation or invite foreigners to speak to congress without notifying the president. If people support this kind of disrespect, then I do not live in the same country they do.
If this would have happened during a Republican Administration, by a bunch of Democrats, all hell would have broke loose. Then, to top it off, try and educate a foreign power on how our Constitution works and not even get that part right. When the foreign power instead educates the Senators how our Constitution works. What an embarrassment they are, this group of Senators.
For some reason they have it in their heads that they and they alone run this country. What is even more embarrassing is the Majority Leader as well as future candidates in the running for the presidency also signed this letter.
When not one but 22 Editorial's at different newspapers across the country condemn this action by the group of 47 Republican Senators.

Then go on talk shows and still don't have it right. Then blame what they have done on the president. It is beyond me and anyone who supports this nonsense by the group of 47. If this had happened during a different time and place they would be prosecuted for Treason.
But nothing will happen to them except for the rest of us and the world to know what an embarrassment they are as a political party who claims they have power that they don't. That is why it is called the "separation of powers" checks and balances for a reason. And their job is to "advise and consent" in which the president has the power to be the sole representative with foreign nations, not congress.
