Well it seems John Crowell is moving forward with his recall of Randy Darrow. As they say there is no stopping someone once they have made their mind up to do something. It seems we are all like that, so it seems.
The question we have to ask ourselves is it really worth it? Is it really worth it to tare the town in half to recall someone not for the first time, but the second time in a year. The next election is slated for June 2016 and Randy Darrow can be voted out of his seat then. That is if he decides to run. The reasons for the recall are the same ones as before, nothing new.
Yet, John Crowell acts as if there is something different about this recall, than the last time it was tried. What was listed as the NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULTE RECALL PETITION on page D5 of Friday, March 6, 2015 of the Herald and News did not show the names of the people who are claimed as the undersigned.
If John Crowell is going to go forward with this recall the people of Tulelake have the right to know, who they are and who it is they would like to replace Randy Darrow's seat with. As this time Randy Darrow is not the mayor, he is only a council member.
My self personally, I don't have the time to waste putting my name on the ballot by the chance Randy Darrow is recalled. When it was first revealed there was going to be another recall, I thought I might be interested, but I am not. I have other things to do, than to get tied down being a council member.
Not saying that there will not be reports on it, as there will be plenty of those keeping the community informed as to what the situation is, so that people can make the right choices for themselves, as to whether they want to sign the recall in the first place and if they want to vote to recall Randy Darrow, secondly.
John Crowell, has no problem complaining about costs, yet has no problem if the city of Tulelake has to pay for this special election. It is not his money, but the city of Tulelake that will be paying for it. Which, he does not seem to care about that, "fact".
And as this recall goes on, more information will be shared and reported on, as it becomes available.
