Yesterday was very interesting as I had to go to the dentist in Dorris to get my false teeth adjusted. During the visit it was discovered that the Dentist and I had something in common. We both taught English as a second language in South Korea. I was there for three years from 1994 through 1997. He was there in 2004 for a while, not as long as I was but he had been there. He even went to Honolulu too but a different year.
There were other people in the lobby that are part of my past that overheard me discussing my trip with all the receptionist at the clinic. They are all glad and happy for what I am doing, and even some of them wish they could go to. So I most certainly have made the right choice with this move to the Big Island. The truth is finally getting out about what I have been up against here.
I even saw Dave the manger of the fair grounds where I was going to get a booth last year but had to cancel because of this past satiation. People know the truth and what has happened to me here and what I have been through on account of it. It is a nice feeling that I am leaving on a good note. People are coming up to me and saying how sorry they are for me and what has happened to me but they too think I have made the right choice and that is to move to the Big Island. Where I can be free to do the stories I like to write and they will follow me there by way of my writings on my blog.
Where I can write interesting stories about Hawaii and people can read what I write all over the world as they do now. I am humbled and honored by all the friends I have in real life that read what I write and those that have never met me in person that also read what I write. It is a good feeling and the fact that I gave so many things away to people that can use what I once had that belonged to me. I am going to a better place where I can be at peace and maybe for once in my life finally be happy. Happiness that we all strive to achieve.
My life is already different as I have to do things much different than I did before. Like writing my blogs in the morning and posting them first thing and then checking back later to see how many people have read what I have written. There are still people reading the stories I wrote a long time ago and people are reading them daily from all over the world and I am so blessed and thankful for people reading my stories and enjoying the pictures I take to. Which I plan on taking lots of pictures of Hawaii.
It was interesting to cross paths with another person from Tulelake who shared with me her thoughts about what happened to me and all the stuff I had been through. Well it is all behind me now as I move forward in my new adventure. What is nice to know is there are a lot of people that are sorry for what has happened to me but feel I have made the right choice to go where I am working towards going now. Aloha!
God Bless
James
