Trump congratulates Roseanne Barr for being his number one fan

Klamath Falls, OR— Roseanne Barr said her character's support for Donald Trump in the revived sitcom "Roseanne" is a reflection of her own views and also true to the show's roots. Barr is a Trump supporter in real life, as is her character on the show. She has defended the president in a number of interviews in the lead-up to the reboot’s debut, in spite of being cautioned in real time by cast-mates and handlers.

Barr has spread debunked conspiracy theories about the Clintons and continues to push the idea that Trump was elected by working class people, when in fact he was swept into office on the basis of white identity politics more than on the basis of financial status.

If there’s anything that Donald Trump loves – in addition to Big Macs, getting spanked with magazines with his face on them, and his daughter Ivanka – it’s ratings. That is if he thinks he can take credit, so it should come as no surprise that Trump was thrilled by the big ratings Roseanne garnered upon its return to the airwaves Tuesday night.

At an infrastructure event in Ohio Thursday, Donald Trump touted the surprisingly strong ratings of the premiere of ABC’s “Roseanne” revival, which featured its lead character defending a vote for him, mocking Hillary Clinton, and dismissing the mainstream media as not “real news.”

Roseanne Barr is under fire for appearing to promote a conspiracy theory about a Parkland student activist. Roseanne Barr sparked controversy this week for appearing to promote a far-right conspiracy theory about the Parkland shooting student-activist David Hogg.

On Tuesday evening, just before the revival of her ABC sitcom "Roseanne" premiered, Barr tweeted the words "NAZI SALUTE" in response to a Twitter user who tagged Hogg in a tweet. She later deleted her tweet.

Barr, a vocal Trump supporter with a history of promoting right-wing conspiracy theories, seemed to be referencing a far-right conspiracy theory that Hogg raised a Nazi salute at a March for Our Lives rally on Saturday.

Barr has previously used her Twitter page to promote debunked far-right conspiracies including Pizzagate and the conspiracy of a "cover-up" in the death of former Democratic National Convention staffer Seth Rich.

ABC did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter.

Roseanne Barr on Supporting Donald Trump

Well, that got awkward — especially for poor John Goodman. The small-screen husband and his TV wife from ABC’s “Roseanne” return joined “Jimmy Kimmel Live” together on Thursday when of course Roseanne Barr’s support for Donald Trump became the topic.

It has just begun to get awkward with the 10th Season of "Roseanne" on ABC. Roseanne Barr is just beginning to show her true colors once again and those that support Trump. Time will tell how long the series lasts if there ends up being no support from the left. It will tank and once again end up in the abyss or reruns where it is now.
