Klamath Falls, OR— It is finally going to happen the Tulelake water tower is going to get a much-needed facelift. It has been in the works for years but it looks as if it is finally going to happen.
*The late Joe Cordonier a longtime resident and past city of Tulelake city clerk and USFS employee. Joe Cordonier used to have a saying for when it came to things or ideas for Tulelake getting done.
"It is not the message but the messenger as to rather it gets done or not in the city of Tulelake."
The work on the City's Elevated Water Tower began on May 29, 2018. If all goes well, will be completed and back in service on July 11, 2018. For those who live in Tulelake the City's Public Works Department and Public Works Director Brett Nystrom would appreciate it if you could conserve water usage as much as possible. They are asking that you DO NOT irrigate your lawns at nighttime. As most people know, the City gets its water pressure from the elevated tower. With the tower being offline the city has installed Variable-frequency drive (VFD) units on the booster pumps to supply water for the city of Tulelake. City of Tulelake residences will notice a small difference in water pressure while the system will be working overtime to keep up with the water demand. During this time the city of Tulelake would like to thank all Tulelake residents for their patience in this matter, as the city makes the much-needed improvements.
