You be the judge: Aaron Mcgrath vs. Leonard Castle Landlord/Tenant dispute

Slumlord criminal

Klamath Falls, OR— You make the ruling. In this case, there are some questionable things on both sides that have not been presented or answered yet.

Aaron Mcgrath claims he gave Castle SR. his title to his truck to hold as collateral for past rent before he passed away. But claims the oven has not been working for four years. Also claims half the electrical outlets don't work. And the wood stove or furnace is not functioning with no proper ventilation. And his electrical heater is not working, either. Aaron Mcgrath mentions that the dishwasher is nonfunctioning and does not work either, it seems. And that Leonard Castle has not provided trash service in over a month.

Aaron Mcgrath claims he gave Castle SR. four years to fix it. Aaron Mcgrath felt he would let it slide because Aaron Mcgrath still owed Castle SR. money for past rent. Aaron Mcgrath mentions he now has a 7-day eviction notice because the son, Leonard Castle wants all the past due rent.

Leonard Castle then repossess the truck and has it towed away. Aaron Mcgrath mentions he never had the truck put in his name and that Leonard Castle on July 3rd, 2018, switched it into his name. Aaron Mcgrath and Leonard Castle's father made the deal with Aaron Mcgrath according to Aaron Mcgrath who claims he bought the truck a year ago but never put it in his name.

Aaron Mcgrath claims that Leonard Castle forged his name on the title or the previous owner's name on the truck that was toward away by Leonard Castle. Aaron Mcgrath claims he had two trip permit orders in his name from the DMV and that proves the truck belongs to him because the insurance was also in his own name.

The Gold Exchange & Pawn

Why did Aaron Mcgrath allow all that stuff from the last tenant remain in his house for that many years? Why was it not moved and stored somewhere else on the property? Then, Aaron Mcgrath claims with the understanding that in exchange for Castle SR. holding his truck's title as collateral he would now make the repairs.

Now the son, Leonard Castle wants to renege on the past deal between Aaron Mcgrath and Castle SR. And one minute Aaron Mcgrath mentions a year or so ago with the putting the title up but then in another statement says years? So, which is it? What does not make sense is this deal has gone on for four years and yet the truck was only bought a year ago and the title put up as collateral for past due rent with the understanding that the repairs would be done in the last year or a couple of years ago?

Aaron Mcgrath claims that Castle SR. agreed that Aaron Mcgrath could work it off by fixing the roof, putting in an oven, putting in a heating source so he would not have to pay $500.00 a month electric bill, along with $500.00 monthly rental payment. But that never happened? Whose fault is that? Aaron Mcgrath or Leonard Castle's?
