KLAMATH FALLS, OR— A large crowd turned out for the Snowflake Parade 2018 Klamath Falls, OR

There was a large crowd that weathered the freezing cold to watch the Snowflake Parade in downtown Klamath Falls, Oregon on Thursday evening December 6, 2018. Hot chocolate and steaming hot coffee was being consumed. The kids on the ready waiting for the candy being thrown at them and running and chasing after it. This is the time of year when people look forward to Christmas by spending time with family and friends.

The Snowflake Parade Run started just a few minutes before the planned Snowflake Parade 2018. Each of the runners as they ran by looked like they were enjoying their run as much as those of us who watched them run. It is a fun event that people participate in on a yearly basis.

There were many entries in this years parade event and it ran about 90 minutes from beginning to end. The streets in downtown Klamath Falls were lined up on both sides of the street. As freezing cold as it was, the night before was far colder. There were a great many who did stick it out for a long time and then, they finally had had enough and were heading home to a much warmer environment. No one could blame them due to the freezing temperatures as they were no longer able to embrace the cold to stick around for the end of the parade and the little ones were getting restless.

Thinking about Christmas and this time of year, it is the time when the year comes to a close and a new year is about to begin. For better or worse it is on its way and most people will say one of two things. One they will say I am glad this year is over and hope next year is better or this was the best year of my life and I hope next year was as good as this year was for me.
