KLAMATH FALLS, OR— Fire danger is still a real thing
There was a fire alarm sent out from a 911 call where many showed up to the fire location on N 5th Street and Washington Street, Klamath Falls. Engines as far as Kingsley Field United States Air Force Engine 3211 showed up.
I spoke with 3102 Division Chief - EMS Devon Brown and asked what kind of fire it was? And Division Chief - EMS 3102 Devin Brown mentioned it was a Wood Stove fire.
I also asked how many engines were used and Devon Brown One mentioned there was one from Kingsley, one from D4, four from D1 for a total of six engines for the wood stove fire. Where cause of the fire where the flue was dirty, more than likely clogged with leaves and other combustible materials. Scorch marks can sometimes around the flue initially tip off investigators about the cause of a fire with a wood stove.
What was unusual there were so many engines for one fire, but we have to keep in mind the fire danger is still real and if the wood stove had have got out of control it could have been a catastrophe and a disaster. There are many houses in the area as well as two apartment buildings near by to be concerned with too on the hill on N 5th Street.
