KLAMATH FALLS, OR—Homeless Helping Homeless Family and Friends HHH Homeless helping Homeless Or Homeless Helping Homeless HHH.
I am not trying to solve the problem of homelessness. I am trying to give a few, a little peace of mind, for a few days of respite. One at a time.
It is not an easy task or path I have chosen for myself.
But, I am doing it one day at a time, one by one.
And I thought dealing with politics was bad.
Everyone has their program(s) that they think will help the homeless, more than the next guys.
And their program is the right program and yours is not.
And yours is all wrong and theirs is right.
Because they know what the homeless need, and you don't.
Oh, boy!
I get it both ways. In other words, coming and going.
People who think what I am doing will not work according to their thinking and way of doing things in their eyes.
And those who are homeless themselves, laughing at me. Thinking I am a joke and a fool in their eyes as well.
It does not matter what anyone thinks, homeless or not.
It is what I think, that counts the most of all.
One day at a time, one by one.
Trying to give the homeless a little respite, has turned into all the programs I am supposed to support.
People need to stop putting the homeless ALL in the same basket, they are not ALL the same.
Are you and I ALL the same? Nope, we are NOT.
Then, why do people keep lumping every single homeless person in the same basket?
They are not ALL the same, any more than you and I are ALL the same.
I just love it. These people who have never been homeless, seem to know, all there is to know about something they have never done first hand or experienced, but low and behold they know all about how to solve it.
Give me a break.
HHH was pure chance from a chat with a friend who is homeless & needed help. Without her I would have never thought of this idea.
What I am doing will not solve homeless. But, what it will do, is give a homeless person a break of trying to find that place to sleep at night, while still trying to get out of the situation they are in, and sometimes by no fault of their own.
Others they choose that life style and that is their right too.
Others, however are only on the streets until they can find their way once again, to where the rest of us are, and where we take it for granted everyday.
One at a time to be given the opportunity to help themselves and think clearly from there to where they want to head in the direction, that is best for them individually.
