Never give up, be motivated, be humble, and be authentic.

Jim Garland Out And About

KLAMATH FALLS, OR— They know what they want, They don't give up.

First of all you have to believe in yourself and then everything else will take care of its self. People do not see the complete vision that I do and what I am planning for the future to be successful at what I am doing moving forward. What I am doing is not for myself but for others who are far worse off in life than I am at this moment. And believe me I have been there, where they are, in fact we all are there.

Every one struggles daily and have different problems we must overcome and it does not always have to do with money. Even though we all know money helps make it easier sometimes, but it is not the end all to everything.

There are homeless on the street that will share what little they have with others, if it will put a smile on that persons' face. I am like that too, if I can help someone, I will do my best to try, and help them, the same way that, if I were in the same position, they would help me, and I would not even have to ask. They would know, and be first in line, to help without a word. A real friend, indeed, they would be, but hard, to ever find, if at all or if ever.

I know there are a lot of people who think I am crazy, for what I think I can do. And anyone can try and do it themselves, if they would like, and see if they can do it better, than I can. Or sit back and do nothing, as they always do. They talk a good game, and have others around them fooled, thinking they are going somewhere someday. And that is the key, "someday". Those somedays keep passing them by, while they keep telling them selves, "someday" I will do it.

Do you know anyone like that? Or could it be you keep telling yourself someday you are going to _______________. Yeah, Ok. Whatever you say. It is your time that you are wasting, not mine.

For me, I do things off the top of my head, because I don't need to write it down and remind myself of the things I need to do. I know what I need to do, without even thinking about it. It comes naturally, and I know what needs to be done and I do it. It may not always be at the time I was mentally planning on doing it, but I still get it done, nevertheless.

This is why when I go out and do videos I know what I need to say, and I say it, and then edit the errors I made out of the video and button it up. I worked at Universal Studios once back in 1988 at a place where I was on a microphone motivating people to do their own music videos, and audio recordings. In fact, I wrote the pitch,

"Good Afternoon, Morning, Evening (depending on what time of day it was) Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to Sound Tracks Universal Studios Tour, where you become the star. We have over 400 different songs for you to choose from, and once you decide what song you want to sing, you then practice your song and then you do your own music video where you become the star.

Once again Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Sound Tracks Universal Studios Tour, where you become the star. If you have any questions feel free to ask the technicians here and they will be more than glad to help you.

Once again Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Sound Tracks Universal Studios Tour, where you become the star."

Yeah, I wrote that and said it over and over many times like a performance, but after a while I even got bored with doing that. Like this one too. "Ladies and Gentlemen up on these three screens we have a brand new recording artist that just came out of the recording studios and you will be seeing their performance right here before you in these three screens. And there they are let's give them a round of applause.

And if a person only did an audio recording, I would say the following before I introduced them: "Ladies and Gentlemen we have an artist that just came out of the recording studio with their next hit on the charts...." (pause) And then say... "Ladies and Gentlemen the person on this audio recording stepped out of the room for a coffee break and will be back shortly. And then I would look around the room for the first person who had their hands covering their heads and faces and not wanting to be recognized or notice. And as soon as I spotted them I would then say, "Ladies and Gentlemen the artist on the recording has just stepped back in the room (I would then point at them and say, real excited). And there they are, let's give them a round of applause. And that would be it the room would congratulate them for their performance and make them feel like a star.

I often had them come up to me afterward and say, "You know you embarrassed me, but it was fun. Thanks!. And off they would go. It would go like that everyday.

But when I needed a break I needed to do the engineer work once in while and follow a person through the process of recording their video or audio recording. Going outside for a few minutes did not change the mood of me getting bored and sounding bored. It would help me to get back into the swing of things and I could do it for quite sometime until I hit that boring spell and would have to take a break and do the engineer work for one person or group till they did what they paid for, to do a music video and become a star in their own right and those that were with them to enjoy the whole experience and a day at Sound Tracks Universal Studios Tour, where they became the star for a few minutes out of their life and day at Sound Tracks Universal Studios Tour.

I was even a Radio Dj in Redding, CA, at four different radio stations, an AM station and two FM stations from 1988 to 1992. My voice was heard all over Shasta County, CA.

Right now I feel this weekly street newspaper can help homeless get their stories out and let others know what they are going through on a daily basis and what they have to do to survive each and everyday out on the streets. The things we take for granted every day, like a roof over our heads that belongs to us, food in the house, entertainment like watching tv or movies, or going to the movies to see the latest movie we wanted to see, or go bowling, or be able to buy some nice clothes and shoes and not the ones they have to get at a second hand store that was worn by someone else.

For a change get a break and get a motel room for a few days instead of the shelters where they have to watch what little they do have and hope it is not stolen the way they feel they have had things stolen from them in the shelters. So they prefer to sleep on the streets in any place they can find and get as much rest as they can before they are woke up or have to leave the spot where they are at before someone comes along and notices them and are asked to move along.

I am going to stop writing stories for free as I have more than paid my dues over the years doing so. It is time if people like what I write, well like anyone else it is time they start paying for it. And by doing so it will be going to a good cause, the one I am working on helping the homeless, one at a time or many across the Untied States with The Klamath County Record Weekly website and the new name as soon as I come up with one fitting enough to be able to use, and it too will be fitting for the cause it represents. It will be authentic and one of a kind.

And that goes for the videos I do, they will soon no longer be free either as they will be linked for the The Klamath County Record Weekly website and you will only be able to see them if you buy your raffle ticket or key card for entrance to the video that is showing that week, along with the weekly street paper news that can be read too for that week or one entrance fee for those two things, per paid fee for that issue of The Klamath County Record Weekly website.

Others can try and duplicate what I have planned and they are welcome to try, but I am an original and one of a kind, there is no one like me, just like there is no one like you. We may all be similar, but we each still have our differences that makes us just who we are, and for me I would not have it any other way. What about you?

I am changing the way I do things on Facebook, as I don't have as much time right now to post and share posts on a daily basis. I had to give up something in order to move forward with my plan that I am putting into action. And being only one person I had to decided what is more important and how best to use my time going forward. My goals need to be put first over all the political battles on a daily basis coming from the likes of Trump who is just a waste of time and energy as his supporters are too blind to see, and will never wake up until its too late.

Time to get back to my scripts for "Last Chance Hotel" and going into production for it. Along with nothing is going to be free anymore.

You will be able to read what I write and the videos I produce but there will be a price to pay as it will no longer be available for FREE. It is not an ego thing, I am just tired of doing things for Free. I feel my time has come and am giving it all I can and doing it and making it happen. And nothing is going to stop me this time.

My Articles, My Stories, My Videos. End of the line as I am tired of doing things for free. Not anymore folks!

End of the line.

The End.
