1. Do you think our main street/downtown is healthy and successful? If not, what would you do to change that?

No, I don't think Main Street downtown is healthy and successful. Here is why. First all the business are not working together to expand their business and city is not helping to promote them. I have been working on tour ideas that would incorporate the downtown business with the history of the buildings in tours. Where on the tours the tourist could have a chance and opportunity to stop in and see what that particular business has to off with a 20% discount from the business for each tourist who made purchases in their stores or food service business as a group of tourist on the TNT Tours.

2. What’s more important for our city right now: building new homes and commercial space or rehabbing/expanding/better utilizing our existing homes and storefronts?

That's a tough questions. However, building new homes and commercial space without sustaining what exists presently would defeat the purpose. It might be more cost effective to invest in rehabbing/expanding/better utilizing our existing homes and storefronts that already exist. Klamath Falls has a great history and the buildings of the past are in need rehabbing/expanding/better utilizing the past before it is lost and forever forgotten for new generations to lose what a booming city Klamath downtown was in the past with all of it's great history that would be lost if rehabbing/expanding/better utilizing what we do have before it is gone forever.

3. How do you feel about the transportation options currently available in our city? Do we have enough options? If not, what will you do to increase those?

Klamath Falls has a great diverse transportation from the basin transit to the local taxi service for a city the size of Klamath Falls, Oregon.

4. Some people in our community say that we have traffic problems. What do you think? How would you mitigate those concerns or change the situation?

Compared to major cities of the size of Klamath Falls, Klamath Falls has no real major issues when it comes to bottle necks as some cities happen to have or experience.

5. If you could change one thing in our zoning code, what would it be and why?

I would have to further study that area before I could have an answer to the above question.

6. How do you plan to involve residents in the decision making process in our town?

By having a city council that is exciting and people want to come to the meetings because they are made to feel that their input or opinions are as important as the next persons. With an open minded leadership where everyone is welcome and so are new fresh ideas. So that each citizen feels their input is as important as the next persons. With the city council taking time to listen and no table their ideas but invest in time appointing citizen committees in each area of interest of the city, not just the special areas of interest by the council or the mayor. But to involve everyone that has an interest in working toward make our city a better place to live but to be proud to have tourist come and visit and maybe even want to move here and enjoy all that Klamath Falls has to offer.

7. If someone came to you with a proposal to build a new piece of public infrastructure in our city (road, bridge, etc.) how would you evaluate whether that project was worth implementing?

First, a citizen commission would need to be created to discuss the pros and cons of the proposal so it was not just a city council decision but the entire community decision and input as to what is best for all citizens concerned not just one special interest group.

8. If elected, what three steps would you take to put our city on a firmer financial footing?

At this point being an outsider and the underdog without the insight to see the finical situation it would not be advisable to answer an unknown fact, without all the facts on the table first to be able to make a more uniformed plan of action that would benefit all the citizens of Klamath Falls and not just one select special interest group.

9. If you received a $1 million grant to use for the city any way you wanted, what would you do with it and why?

Once again being an outsider and the underdog it might be wise to take it under advisement until all the facts are presented as to what is best for the entire community not just one special interest group without allowing one group to have a monopoly because of their connections that they seem would have no problem convincing the people in power because of their close personal contact and association.

10. What neighborhood do you live in? Why? Where are your favorite places to spend time in our town?

I happen to live downtown and love it. As I walk up and down Main street and the two parks downtown, and also take an easy bus ride to Moore Park. Which is great asset to have a bus transportation system that takes you there and back to be able to enjoy the three parks. The two downtown, Vets Park and the Klamath Commons and Moore Park only a short bus ride away.
