Klamath Falls— As we all are aware of, times are hard with the way things have been for all of us, including the less fortunate among us. But just because times are hard it does not give you the right to be disrespectful to others in the process.
Or bully others because you seem to think your situation is all about you without taking into consideration others less fortunate are having a rough time too.
Where you feel that you can take up space and claim it as your own real estate, as if that space belongs to only you, and you alone. As if you are the owner of that area or property, where you have parked your yellow van with writing all over the rear window.
Where you decide not only do you need the space where you have parked your yellow van for your panhandling. You have taken upon yourself where the yellow van is parked is not enough real estate for you, you also need the adjacent area on the other side of the exit from Walmart.
And you feel, and you seem to think you have the right to shoo other people away, as if you are the only homeless person or people in the world. Where it is all about you and your needs without taking into con-sideration you are not the only person in need who goes to Walmart to get a helping hand as people drive by and hand out cash and other things of value to the less fortunate among us. And for some strange reason this couple felt they were entitled to yell at an elderly gentleman and threaten him because of their fear of him being in that area. Where the elderly gentleman might be given money or other things from people passing by if they see him and want to help the elderly gentleman, instead of the arrogant couple.
Where for some strange reason they feel it all belongs them and only to them, and it is their right to have it over the elderly gentleman who just happened to show up on what they feel is their turf. Where the young male individual was bullying an elder senior citizen over a few dollars that this young man felt were his and only belonged to him because he felt he needed it more than this elderly gentleman. Where if this couple would have taken the time to find out who this elderly gentleman was, and instead of being so greedy and unwilling to share the space together that this arrogant panhandling couple felt belonged ONLY TO THEM.
If this couple would have taken the time to find out who this elderly gentleman was, instead of making a assumption of who they thought he was, because the elderly gentleman looked like he was homeless carrying a trash bag of recyclables. They assumed he must be homeless like they were, but that is not the case just because he has gray long hair and looks like he is homeless. What else could he be but homeless like they were at Walmart needing money or food as the young man later would go on to confess or yell out as he was threatening the elderly gentlemen.
To the point where this young man blurted out, “Get a job” to the elderly gentleman sitting there resting from the long walk he had just been on from downtown along the Boardwalk trail from downtown Klamath Falls doing live videos about the possibility of future tours on the trail come this spring and summer.
Once again, one should never make assumptions about others you do not know by being so ignorant and arrogant in the process by not taking the time to find out who people are, even this elderly gentleman who just so happens to be Jim Garland, the owner and publisher of TNT Worldwide and TNT Products and TNT Productions.
Sad! And shameful for arrogant less fortunate souls to be so disrespectful to a retired homeless advocate where he might have invited them to his house for a shower and a meal.
