Klamath Falls— Dr. Grant Niskanen, vice president of medical affairs for Sky Lakes Medical Center, suggested to call (833) 606-4370, the last time I spoke and saw him for my regular scheduled Doctor visit and appointment at the Sky Lakes Medical Clinic.
Dr. Grant Niskanen suggested to wait about 3 weeks then call for the 65 year olds and older to get an appointment. Called (833) 606-4370. Called last Tuesday the 2nd of March and was given an appointment for the following day at 3:25 PM.
PFIZER SARS-COV-2 VACCINE was administered and in about three weeks will get a second dose. Being highly impressed about how well things were organized for the shot and how smoothly things went from start to finish. Very well done IMO Dr. Grant Niskanen, vice president of medical affairs for Sky Lakes Medical Center, and Sky Lakes Medical Center.
The next day there was only a little pain in the left arm, the arm chosen to give the shot administered into. And a slight and very small headache. Other than that, felt as normal as is normal for me being a patient of Dr. Grant Niskanen, vice president of medical affairs for Sky Lakes Medical Center.
People who are 65 years of age and older can begin getting vaccinated against COVID-19 starting March 1. Adults meeting these criteria can use the following resources to get linked to vaccine information in their communities: Get Vaccinated Oregon: A new tool that answers basic questions about vaccine eligibility and provides information about vaccinations in your county. https://getvaccinated.oregon.gov/#/
Or 211: Text ORCOVID to 898211 (English and Spanish only) or email ORCOVID@211info.org for vaccine registration information. Alternatively, you can call 211 or 1-866-698-6155 (from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily).

Klamath Falls— Judge Cameron Wogan announced he will retire from the Klamath County Circuit Court effective April 30.
Governor Kate Brown will fill the position from a slate of just three candidates — Sarah Dougherty, Kelly Kritzer and Bonnie Lam — who were vetted and interviewed during the last Klamath County judicial vacancy in June 2020.
“When we have recently conducted a judicial appointment process (soliciting applications from the local bar, and fully vetting those applicants), the Governor goes back to that list of candidates if another vacancy on the court arises in short order rather than restarting the process,” said Brown’s press secretary Liz Merah.
She said that “there were several well-qualified candidates who were considered but not selected as part of that process.”
