JAMES C. GARLAND FORMER MAYOR CANDIDATE RUNNING FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER IN 2022

Klamath Falls— James C. Garland, former People’s Mayor Candidate for Klamath Falls Mayor in 2020, will be filing soon to fill the seat of outgoing Klamath County Commissioner Donnie Boyd in a 2022 election.

James C. Garland started TNT in 2010 in Tulelake, California 12 years ago in February 2010. And ran for Tulelake City Council member in 2014. Then, left in 2015 and lived on the Big Island in Ocean View, HI, in 2015 for 4 months from June– Sept in 2015 to get a break from the mainland and Tulelake, CA.

Then, came back and instead of returning to Tulelake, CA decided to relocate and move to Klamath Falls where Mr. Garland’s Grandmother is buried in Mt. Laki Cemetery Barbara Irene O’Malley who was killed in a dear hunting accident in 1938 when his Mother, Edith K. Garland (Donaldson) whose boy friend at the time was Loyal Kenyon when she was 14 years old and her brother Dick was 11 years old. They, both lived with their step father, Les Thompson on the Thompson farm in Malin, Oregon before the passing of Mr. Garland’s grandmother in 1938.

Both Edith and Dick Donaldson attended Lost River High School, and were the Class of 1943 and 1945, if Mr. Garland remembers correctly without digging out the High School Reunion handbook from 1986, for this interview. Edith has been buried in Eternal Hills since 2007.

His mother’s last wish was to find her mother’s grave and put a marker on it and with the help of relatives in Madres, Oregon located the caregivers of Mt. Lake and ordered and placed a marker on his grandmothers grave in 2003. When James’ mother and James lived in the Goose in Newell, CA.

Mr. Garland first rented a room with a student from OIT on Darrow Street for a year while applying for Klamath Housing Authority Choice Voucher program in 2015 and it came through a year later in 2016. Whereby Mr. Garland found an apartment on 5th and High Streets at the Granview Apartments.

Mr. Garland mentioned during this interview he just loves people who try and give him advice about this up and coming election and they have never ran for public office themselves, and yet the advice giver has been on earth less time; than Mr. Garland has by a decade or more.
