Allen Headley announces write- in campaign for County Commissioner 1
People running for public office are required to be completely transparent and honest with the voters of Klamath County. Henslee swore to uphold the Oregon Constitution, but he hasn’t honored its elections laws when he was personally found to be without qualified immunity after winning the popular vote.
As a civilian and politician, Dave on the campaign trail again talked about the ongoing federal case, referring to the plaintiffs as a minority owned business and the others were of the Caucasian nationality—further ruining the reputation of the plaintiff's business. Dave Henslee again claimed at the last Commissioner’s debate, held at the Klamath Rotary Club, that he had “zero personal liability” and that “he had letters from his lawyers” to the effect that he was protected by tort law and by the city's representation. The public has never seen these letters.
As it turns out, the City of Klamath Falls’ attorney Kenneth Montoya may not presently be representing or defending Henslee, or the other named city officials. According to court documents Dave Henslee and the other former city officials appear to have retained a third attorney to represent them, perhaps another indication that the federal lawsuit may not hold harmless or preclude the 3 city officials from personal liabilities.
So, tell your friends and neighbors to consider writing in "ALLEN HEADLEY” instead of checking the box on the ballot for Dave Henslee.
Former Canidate Todd Gessele endorses Allen Headley for Klamath County Commissioner, Position 1
After coming in 4th in the primary election as the newest guy in Klamath County, I, Todd Gessele, as a private citizen am endorsing my former opponent Allen Headley as a write in candidate. He’s not a part of the old political structure, which desperately needs to change if Klamath County is to grow. And he will donate half of his commissioner’s salary back into Klamath County charities!
A vote for Dave Henslee, who won with the percentage needed in the primary interim election. Just two days after he was sworn in as an acting commissioner, Judge Ann Aiken denied him, and two other city officials qualified immunity in a multi-million-dollar federal case alleging discriminatory policing practices while he was Chief of Police in Klamath Falls.
On the campaign trail, I had warned voters, the Oregon Attorney General and the sitting commissioners that Dave Henslee may be ineligible to take office if elected as the Oregon Constitution Article 2, Section 11 of Election Law requires that all personal liabilities from prior positions be settled before one accepts a new position of public trust. Henslee‘a personal liabilities weren’t completely mitigated on the campaign.
Election officials and the Oregon Attorney General need to weigh in ASAP and tell the public if Henslee’s personal liabilities and his denial of qualified immunity will prevent him from taking office if voters vote him in.
Former Canidate James Garland endorses Allen Headley for Klamath County Commissioner, Position 1
After receiving 4,515 votes myself for County Commissioner Position 2 in Klamath County.
I, James Garland as a private citizen am endorsing Allen Headley as a write-in candidate.
Having gotten to know both Allen Headley and Todd Gessele during the primary election in May. Highly recommend, "ALLEN HEADLEY” instead of checking the box on the ballot for Dave Henslee.
