ARP Grant Funds received over 40 million dollars in requests
Henslee looks forward to working with committee to review applications for ARP Grant Funds.
However, Rita Vining: Addressed the Board regarding Commissioner Henslee's ineligibility to serve as Commissioner considering he is named in a [federal] lawsuit. Geri Kelley: Addressed the Board asking why Commissioner Henslee didn't wait until the [federal] lawsuit was concluded before taking office?
Henslee: Is thrilled the election is over and he has been officially elected and help drive Klamath County in a positive direction.
The question still arises as to if Henslee is qualified to be sworn in as a county commissioner according to the Oregon Constitution Article 2 section 11 [he] May be Liable. The federal court case is still pending and going to trial as no settlement has been reached to date.
Henslee has admitted in fact he may have personal liabilities and indicted himself according to Reta Vinning in public comments at today's County Commissioners Business meeting.
In other business Assistant Attorney General John Casalino to sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the Klamath County District Attorney's Office and Roe Review and Support Services, Melina Johnson, DA. Henslee thanks Casalino for being the acting/interim DA and is excited to see where he takes the office.
Chuck Edson: Addresses the Board regarding an organization he works with called "Braver Angels". Commissioner Minty thanks Chuck Edson and "Braver Angels" and their mission.
Commissioner DeGroot: Attended the O&C Counties meeting on Friday, elaborates on the organizations mission to improve relationship with BLM regarding management of forest lands and the funding that comes to 18 counties regarding those lands. Additionally, this year is the [DeGroot] President for AOC (Association of Oregon Counties), they work closely with O&C and will be working on upcoming legislation and the impact of new legislation on Counties.
Allan Headley: Addresses the Board regarding concerns about the allocation of tourism dollars to "Spirits" of 82k.
Allan Headley: Addresses the Board regarding concerns about the allocation of tourism dollars to "Spirits" of 82k would rather see the funding for more interesting things in the community involving children and promoting the town.
Additionally specifically addresses Commissioner Minty for seeing that Spence Mountain is taken care of with tourism dollars since it is her favorite place to hike "Next time keep the tax payers in mind rather than herself".

To date election results have yet to be certified. And a federal judge has denied Henslee personal immunity.
If deemed ineligible, the write-in candidate shall advance, not Henslee.
