MOU With City For Veterans Park Static Display
Commissioner DeGroot has researched the property ownership of where the F15 will be displayed, explains both City and County Counsel have advised that the BOCC has the authority to make capital improvements to that property.
Commissioner DeGroot further explains the MOU and request of $300k. Henslee questions if the $600k total fee is the actual total or a moving target and does the city have the $300k for their half?
Commissioner DeGroot responds that the $600k is an engineers estimate and yes the City Council has allocated ARPA dollars for their $300k.
Commissioner Henslee likes this improvement idea, but wondering if there have been other discussions ideas about improvements for that area?
Commissioner Minty responds, is supportive of any improvements to the entryways of Klamath that shows what we are about and the F15 shows our commitment to Kingsley.
Commissioner Henslee asks if this is one of our jets? Commissioner DeGroot responds yes.
Commissioner DeGroot further explains that Kingsley has offered a Tail Flash for us to display somewhere else in the community.
Commissioner Henslee is proud that we honor our veterans and our entryways show that and is happy that we are splitting the cost with the City.
Commissioner DeGroot motions to authorize the chair to sign the MOU and allocate $300k from ARPA funds, Commissioner Minty seconds. Unanimous vote. Approved.
