Minding my own business in Portland

The screaming and yelling continued for a few more minutes longer and with her running in and out of the traffic into the street pounding on cars as they passed by. Sometimes even jumping in front of the cars.

I just waited patiently for her to calm down. Not much else could be done but wait on her to calm down and come to her senses. One person came by and as she passed, she looked in my direction as I had been startled by her presence.

She made a comment as she passed by. “Oh, I scared you that much?” I pointed going off in the other direction. She just looked and smiled at me and keep heading away in the opposite direction where the other person was still yellg and screaming.

Finally, it had gotten quiet and now I felt it was safe enough to leave my safe area and head back to Motel 6. I thought I would text my friend on the phone to give him an update of what the situation was now.

And as I was looking down at my cell phone, I just happened to look up and all of sudden she was now right in front of me. And she made a comment by apologizing for her outburst and wanted to know if I had a smoke she could have? And I said sure and handed her a smoke. She then left and headed back to where she had come from by the little park ahead.

I wanted to take some pictures of the little park, but she was in the park, and I didn’t want her to think I was taking pictures of her and have her go off again. But I made the right choice by not calling 911 as all that would have done is get me involved in something I didn’t need to be part of with her personal problems, which had nothing to do with me.

From this point I saw a place in the park where I could sit down and rest before I continued any further now in the direction of Motel 6. About this time a few young kids on their skateboards had showed up in the area where I was sitting resting. I mentioned to them I would be going soon as I was just resting in case, they might want to use the spot I was sitting on to practice one of their skateboard tricks. Besides they lived in the area, and I was just visiting.

Now it was time to head to the Motel room at Motel 6 and relax a bit, maybe even take a nap. Which for me not likely. I worked on catching up on emails now that I finally figured out how to connect the Wi-Fi up in the room and think about on this last night where I wanted to go for dinner.

Tried to take a nap but didn’t feel like it and I didn’t want to watch tv either. So, I just rearranged all my stuff on the table to get everything in order and check my bank accounts.

And checked my email and what was going on in the world and see what was happening on with my Facebook pages. It was getting near dinner time, and didn’t want to go to Denny’s for dinner, maybe I would go to that hamburger joint on the other side of Denny’s instead.

So far this had been a very interesting trip getting to see things I had never seen before in a city I had never spent time in either.
