Portland Downtown mall closed

Portland Downtown mall closed

Went back to the same spot as before (see picture -->). Sat there again to take a break before going across the street to Denny’s for breakfast.

A while latter while sitting this other guy came up to me and started a conversation and ended up being a regular to the downtown Portland area. We had a very good converstion spread across many topics, too many to remember now. Then after he left, and I was rested I strolled over to Denney’s for breakfast.

After breakfast at Denny’s I wanted to check out the mall downtown Portland that I had looked through the windows of in the wee hours of the morning. It was still Saturday but that was many hours ago before I returned to my motel room at Motel 6 and slept for a while.

I started walking and while walking taking as many pictures as I could as another pass time of mine, I love taking pictures, too!

Couldn’t believe it an entire downtown mall was all locked up and closed. Wow!

A friend of mine who used to live here mentioned it may have had something to do with Nike. I don’t know for sure?

Spent most of the day walking and taking pictures of downtown Portland, Oregon.

As I was walking, I found a spot to rest outside of restaurant I thought was closed. When all of a sudden, this guy comes out from this Japanese Restaurant and mentions I am not supposed to sit there unless I am a customer. I thought it was closed like everything else in downtown Portland. So at first I followed this guy inside the restuurant for a nice cold glass of water. But decided while I was there why not get something to eat too, like some soup. Like I used to have when I was in South Korea back from Dec 94- May 97.

Had a nice bowl of soup and made a new friend. I make new friends everywhere I go. When I was a kid, I was a shy as could be but not anymore at my age of a blessed 69 years old.

I love my life now and everything I do that I have been blessed with the gifts from above to do. Along with all the self-taught things I have learn along the way in this short life we all have to live and prosper from to say we were here.
