GOP splits the vote on County Commissioner Position 1, in May 21 Primary Election, 2024

Candidates claiming to have support from GOP Senators and State District Reps for a Nonpartisan County Position

There are others complaining about an incumbent switching political parties for a position that is supposed to be Nonpartisan.

What does it matter what political party one belongs to for what is supposed to be a Nonpartisan position. Doesn’t say much about their Nonpartisan bias for their own political party for a Nonpartisan County position, now does it? It’s all you need to know which political party they belong too otherwise why the complaint about another candidate’s political party. Kind of petty if you ask me, wouldn’t you say?

And then there are the religious candidates who have to make it point they are Christians. What does being a Christian have to do with being a candidate for a Nonpartisan County position? Does it make that candidate a better person and more electable over others because they are a Christian and other Candidates may not be?

What it does is it shows the candidate is trying to get elected by which party they belong to so those they can make sure their political party supports their candidacy for a Nonpartisan County position.

In the same way if one mentions they are a Christian does that mean they can get the votes from their church by mentioning they are a Christian?

Surprised they don’t take it a step further and name their pastor or church affiliations while they are at it and what a good Christian they are so as not to offend any of their church going members who may be voting for them.

Just like candidates where when they fill out the SEL-101 they make it a point to cross out the Republican on the form as if they are secretly letting you know they are, but no one will notice they are a Republican because they crossed it out. And marked the correct box “Nonpartisan”.

So, they leave their mistake on purpose trying to let other Republicans to get the message they are a Republican after all and to vote for them.

Instead of just simply taking the time to start over and get a new form and fill it out without the scratched-out correction. Thinking they are fooling people when in reality they are fooling no one but themselves by showing instead of doing it right or correctly they show how lazy they are and want people think they are a Republican because they accidently marked the wrong box and trying to be sly and think no one will notice except for another Republican by showing them they are one too. Not very smart nor very sly. It’s obvious it was a mistake on purpose they think no one will notice and they will get away with sending the message they are a Republican, don’t tell no one they are a Republican.
