Klamath Falls, OR— Who was here first for the Sale of Tulelake airport?
Letter to the Editor: Writ of mandamus against City of Tulelake is unjust Jan 10, 2015
"So let’s see, a non-profit public benefit corporation has filed a vexing and disruptive action supposedly with public interest in mind, while they look into decimating an agricultural flying service upon which the surrounding farming communities gravely depend, not to mention the effect on lives, incomes and futures of all who are associated with that enterprise.
Why? Because internees were subjected to “turmoil and strife” some 70 years ago, which pales in comparison to the treatment suffered by involuntary guests of the Axis Powers."
"See the movie “Unbroken.”'
Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces this epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis "Louie" Zamperini (Jack O'Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived on a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII – only to be caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. Adapted from Laura Hillenbrand's (Seabiscuit: An American Legend) enormously popular book, it's the inspiring true story about the resilient power of the human spirit. (Original Title - Unbroken) - 2014 Universal Studios.

Final Meeting on "Sale of Tulelake Airport" and who the new owner(s) will be on July 31, 2018, at the Tulelake City Council Meeting.
Here is what seems your last chance to let the City of Tulelake know your feelings and comments about the sale of the Tulelake Airport and who it should or should not go to at the PUBLIC MEETING.
And the rest of the story of the Tulelake Municipal Airport and the Negotiating parties Tule Lake Community vs. Modoc Tribe of Oklahoma. And now with County of Modoc involved in the negotiations for terms and price with Tulelake, CA City Council.
It surely will be interesting at the Tulelake City Council on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 first @ 4:15 PM for a Special Meeting, and then again @5:30 PM for the City Council Regular Meeting in the Tulelake City Hall Council Chambers.
