TNT Tours Klamath Falls, Oregon

KLAMATH FALLS, OR—

Worked at Universal Studios and never saw anyone be treated the way I was treated @ OIT yesterday and the day before...

Shameful!

"KTEC 89.5 FM is a student-operated free form radio station, broadcasting 24-7, 365 days of the year. Reaching all corners of the Klamath Basin, anyone with a passion for radio can become a DJ, hosting their very own show.

Our mission at KTEC is to serve both Oregon Tech and the Klamath Falls community with alternative programming. Our broadcasting agenda is designed to serve the public interest, and our free-form programming platform provides our DJ's the freedom to share what they love with the world."

Thanks so much for clarifying! That really helps. We absolutely didn't mean to disregard or insult you in any way by suggesting you were a for-profit business, I just misunderstood the news portion of it and I apologize for that.

We do stay true to our mission as best as we can, I understand that this is a huge passion for you and it is for all of us as well. I apologize if not responding quick enough to you made you question that, but the tone of your last email was a bit confrontational and uncomfortable. Our only questions about TNT were the clarifying ones that I asked earlier and that you responded to thoroughly. I can refer you to our higher up if you really feel it's necessary. It would be our Faculty Advisor, who's a professor in the Communications department here at Oregon Tech.

But I think it'd be best if we just moved forward and had you and your assistant meet with our Program Director, Sean Griffith. He would be able to meet with you at the station on campus and go over the schedule and handbook before official training.

If you could please email him, that'd be great! He will get back to you with his availability.
Thanks so much for your time,

Good Morning Cassey
Station Manager
KTEC 89.5fm

First thank you for your positive reply and feedback to me. Like KTEC 89.5fm. TNT isn't about me, TNT is about community and putting others before ourselves and I love all aspects of what I do. I apologize on my part as well. I most certainly am not perfect and I will be first to say it. I make mistakes even at my age and I am always willing to learn something new.

The format I have in mind comes from many of years of thinking about that type of format. TNT started in Tulelake a decade ago with the same goals in mind then and they have not changed. To do stories that most media organizations do not touch. To support and get the information to the community as being part of the community. Promoting as many as possible the non-profits that need that extra help that is not always available to them by other means and sources.

And having a slot on KTEC 89.5fm will further those same goals of the community by giving others a voice that may not have available to them through other media outlets or at high cost and expense to their non-profit organizations, as well as individuals a voice to speak their mind and an opportunity on KTEC 89.5fm to call in to TNT and even some to be invited guests to the studio during the hours that open with that idea in mind.

Shorty I will be sending a contact the Program Director, Sean Griffith to arrange a time where he and I will be able to meet and go over the schedule and handbook before official training begins for me.

Thanks again for your understanding of what TNT is all about and has been since TNT's first article and story on like and in print on the local level and national since 2010.

Best regards,

Good Morning again.

My letter that I just sent has a few typos but nobody is perfect, not even me.

But thanks again and look forward to meeting you as well as time allows for both of us.

Greetings

Program Director, Sean Griffith.

This is James Garland of TNT and the station manager asked that I get in touch with you about arranging a time for training on the board, yes I am a bit rusty. But just like riding a bike you never forget once you know how to do it.

Look forward to meeting you at your earliest opportunity according to your time frame.

Best Regards,

IE: Lost my cell phone so the only contact right now will have to be by email until I can get a new cell phone. On a limited income and it is not in the budget this month to be able to get a new one.
