Rethinking not doing local stories anymore as they are a waste of my time

Rethinking not doing local news stories, and only doing National News stories.

Rethinking not doing local stories anymore as they are a waste of my time. I find I am wasting my time doing the local news, as for the amount of effort put into them it is not worth the time I spend doing them.

Klamath Falls, OR— I find I am wasting my time doing the local news, as for the amount of effort put into them it is not worth the time I spend doing them.

I am rethinking doing local news stories as they take more time than they are worth. If local people on my facebook page or people I have given out my business card don't take time to read them. Then I don't need to do them. I get more views doing National News stories than I do with local news stories. It is not worth my time and effort if they are not being read like the National News stories have been.

If local people don't have the time to read them and share them. Then, I don't have the time to do them anymore! It is a waste of my time to do local stories as it cost me money to do it. I don't make any money for what I do. I do it out of the goodness of my heart. But I am no longer going to do it if people locally do not have time to click them on, read them, and share them.

In fact on Saturday, May 12th in order to report on the "No Pipe Line! No Compressor Station! On May 12th, 2018 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. at Klamath Community College. I will have to take a taxi to get there as I don't have any transportation available to me.

But I do have a good friend from Tulelake that is coming up to go shopping who will be picking me up at around 11:45 AM, so I don't have to take a taxi back home again. The plan after she picks me up she will take me to Wal-Mart so I can get some flowers for my Mon's gravesite in Enteral Hills for Mother's day.

I don't make any money at what I do and it is costing me now personally to do the local stories, along with my personal time spent doing it. If people locally don't have time to read the local stories and share them. Well, I don't either anymore spending my money and time doing them. And I am not getting any younger.

From The Hearld and News:

"League to host pipeline forum at KCC

A public forum, “No Pipeline! No Compressor Station!”, will be held by the League of Women Voters of Klamath County from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 12, in Building 8 at Klamath Community College, according to a news release.

A spokesperson said the league has adopted positions to “Preserve the physical, chemical, and biological integrity of the ecosystem, the maximum protection of public health and the environment.”

Accordingly, the league opposes a pipeline application by Pembina, a Canadian corporation, to build a pipeline and compression station in Malin, the spokesperson said."
