*Editor's Note: I am a liberal democrat who believes wholeheartedly is the truth and nothing but the TRUTH. Until this issue is resolved as to who is telling the truth and who is not it will continue to be investigated from all sides. To date, there has been no comment or reply from the following:
1. Waldon Campaign Press inquiries, Justin Discigil justin.discigil@mail.house.gov
2. Nichole van Eikeren, Campaign Manager for Jamie McLeod-Skinner, at nichole@jamiefororegon.com
3. Jamie McLeod-Skinner, herself, info@McLeodSkinner.com
Jamie has run — and won — two prior campaigns.
*She has eight years of elected experience serving a constituency of 120,000 (comparable to a state-level rep) while working full-time.
*Degrees in Engineering, Masters of Regional Planning and a law degree (J.D.) with a focus on water, natural resource, and Indian Law.
*Career includes Reconstruction & Water Program Manager for the International Rescue Committee in Bosnia and Kosovo on repair and water projects for schools and health clinics.
*Environmental planner for the Santa Clara Valley Water District for five years, ensuring compliance for water quality and supply, flood protection, and stream stewardship projects.
*Jamie was a union member (AFSCME) for over ten years, served as co-director of Employee Resource Group, and negotiated on behalf of an environmental planners employee group.
*As a water professional, Jamie's experience meets key needs in our district.
*She has both personal and professional experience in the district, nationally, and internationally.
*Jamie has deep Oregonian roots and her multi-generational family lives throughout the district.
*She is a proud step-mom to four kids.
Jamie has experience in the practical side of government. In the public sector, Jamie served as a Senior City Planner in Silicon Valley, where she developed public policy to address climate change and affordable housing. She later worked as an Environmental Planner for a regional water agency serving over two million customers in both urban and rural areas.
While in office, she developed a reputation for being socially progressive, fiscally responsible, and a champion for government ethics.
A question comes to mind. Why didn't Jamie McLeod-Skinner not mention in her resume above as experience in the public sector that she worked as City Manager for Phoenix, OR and that she was terminated or in her interview on "Straight Talk"?
Why didn't Jamie McLeod-Skinner mention that either in her interview?
There has been an ongoing debate between the Phoenix, OR Mayor Chris Luz and Jamie McLeod-Skinner for quite sometime now. Is it just a personality conflict or is there more to it, than meets the eye?
1) In 2011 Mr. Luz lost a lawsuit by a previous female manager for creating a hostile work environment.
2) Mr. Luz accused Jamie of lying about how many city managers preceded her. No. She didn't. There is archive footage of the Chief of Police stating at a City Council meeting that he had worked for 7 managers in 8 years.
3) Mr. Luz states that everybody was dissatisfied with her. No. They weren't. Her web page has endorsements from council members.
4) Shortly after Jamie left, 2 other female staffers departed. One of them is now a Jamie for Oregon volunteer.

Over the past 14 months and 35,000 miles on my Jeep, I've been reminded of the spirit and the heart of our district. I believe we can bring back true representation in Congress. I ask for your vote on November 6th.
Dianne Crampton: "This is interesting. I went to Greg Walden's Town Hall in Redmond, Oregon and Walden said the same thing --- no impact on pre-existing conditions. Then those words transformed into a lie as he stood next to Paul Ryan and President Trump after bringing legislation to the floor that would harm District 2 voters. Too many closed door discussions that leave the Democrats out of the planning conversations. No consensus. No collaboration to solve complex problems. We need different leadership. We can't go on this way anymore. We need people who are dedicated to serving citizens, not big corporations. I saw that in McLeod-Skinners documented performance. She is trustworthy. Walden is not. I simply can not support untrustworthy people."
Carolyn Freeman: "I have attended several town halls that Walden had this year. His answers are like reading from a script. He said the exact same words in Prineville, Redmond and Bend. Yes, he did stand there and look us in the face and lie. He has been in this office for 20 years which is far too long. Repeal and replace Greg Walden with Jamie McLeod Skinner, she listens and she cares. It is time we have a representative that can really represent this area because she has taken the time to go to all corners of the district and talk to people. She won’t be afraid to face her constituents and will continue having town halls after she is elected. VOTE Jamie, for people, for Oregon."
Dan Davis: "I totally agree with you, Jamie. I am working for you and will vote for you. It is desperate that we change the Congress from the dominating corporatist republican trump followers who are severely damaging our country. Regardless of party, we need American and human values to represent us, not sellouts to the highest bidders in soulless corporations. ...and I say this as a GE manager for 12 years and a business owner since 1983, as well as a Viet Nam combat vet, who knows how important and helpful ...even critical the VA, can be and often is for many."
J Stanley: "Jamie is super qualified to represent us in Washington. She has public service experience, a law and engineering degree and enough experience in the district to know how to respond to the needs of the people she will represent. She understands the bigger picture, policies and, at the same time, has the practical skills to get things done. I have been canvassing for her in Southern Oregon and the response from people has been extremely positive. People recognize that she is authentic!!!"
Oregon Democratic U.S. congressional candidate Jamie McLeod-Skinner stands next to her teardrop trailer Aug. 6 in Redmond, Ore., before setting off again on the campaign trail in eastern Oregon, a conservative district that voted for Donald Trump for president in 2016. McLeod-Skinner is fighting what many consider to be an uphill battle to unseat Republican U.S. Rep. Greg Walden in the November election, but is undaunted and buoyed by victories of a couple other Democrats in Trump territory. (AP Photo/Andrew Selsky)
