KLAMATH FALLS, OR— In Search of "Justin Beaver" and why he does not belong on the streets in Klamath Falls, OR.
The first time I met Justin Beaver he was hanging out in the apartment building where I live. Right off the bat lets get this straight, Justin Beaver likes to be called, "Justin Beaver" and that is his right and it is harmless. That is his choice for whatever inner demons he is dealing with internally in his life now as well in his past and only his medical and mental health doctors are privy to that information.
But from a laymens point of view he is harmless and not violent from my observations. Sure he gets angry, who doesn't, we all do. We get angry all the time or two or here or there. But does that make us dangerious? No, it doesn't. It makes us human, with a full range of emotions, which we all possess.
The next time I came accross Justin Beaver (have no idea what his real name is) was at the False Fire Alarm Pranksters in Klamath Falls, OR.
When I was at the library on Saturday seaching for the next person to try and set up a motel room for two days of respite, to go to the right person. Not someone wanting a free ride. I mentioned to Justin Beaver I wanted to see if he would like to do an interview on video, and he agreed he would, but he was waiting for someone to show up and drop off some things for him. Otherwise, he had no problem doing an interview on video for me.
We went outside when we were about to do the interview, one of his relatives showed up with some things for Justin Beaver. He did not seem too happy, as he was bickering with her about some things. At that point I gave her one of my flyers and the young boy next to her took it in his hands. She handed him about four plastic bags of stuff and a 12 pack of Mountain Dew or something like that, for him now to carry around, until he either drank it or gave some of them away. And as he was going through the bags, he was looking for some cash, that he asked her to give to him.
She left in one of the bags a whole dollar bill, how genius of her. Justin Beaver was hopping mad for her doing that to him. Not even a pack of cigerettes, after all it, is his money that she is the representive for him to oversee. Something is wrong with this picture, and it should be investagated by the proper authorities IMO.
I finally got him clamed down enough to do the video, and Justin Beaver was all over the place in his chain of thoughts, but the majority of what he was saying could be compreheneded. So when I began to edit the video I cut out the parts that people would have thought as questionable, but left in the parts that people would understand without any problems. After watching the video and speaking to him he is someone that should not be on the streets, period.
Sure he can take care of himself, if need be, to protect himself, and not be taken advantage of, but he needs to in a group home or something like that. And I am sure he would quilify for Klamath Falls Housing Authority benifits if he were to apply IMO, as a layman and not a mental health doctor, but I do have enough knoweldge in the field of Mental Health to make a laymans recommendation for him, from what I have obserbed of Justin Beaver.
And two days in a motel room for respite would not help him either, as Justin Beaver needs long term help, which it seems he is not getting from those responsible for his care IMO. And something needs to be done and investagated of the suffering Justin Beaver is getting from living on the streets, once again in my opinion.
At the end of the video above is when the people handing out peanut butter and jelly sandwishes to the homeless on the streets came into the picture. That it seems is the only part that can be seen or ever seen publicly, with "In Search of Justin Beaver in Klamath Falls, OR.
