Pay it forward Part 2

I always bring with me on Amtrak I leaned to do if from my trip back from Portland when my seat passenger was sharing what she had with other passengers who had run out of money on the long trip and had no money left to go to the snack bar in lower floor of the Observation Coach.

She mentioned she was retired from Amtrak and got to ride free whenever she wanted to and she had another job at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park in Southern California where I spent most of it in my early 30's, living and working at many different places and in many different fields when I was young and stupid and now I am older and wiser at the beginning of my 70's.

Which I turned 70 in September 2024 when I took a trip to Salem looking for housing to relocate to in Salem, but it did not work out to well.

But this person I met in the lower section we both had rear seats and had a great time, even had a Karen who didn’t like the fact that she and I were having such a great time even to the point one of the Amtrak service attendants warmed me that if I did be quite she reluctantly would have me put off the train.

A kind or wink, wink, but she was serious too and her father was also the engineer of the train and their stop off point for crew changes was also in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

How interesting is that huh? IMO very interesting and she was good at her job. But that is how I learned to bring with me extra water and pasteries everywhere I go now not just on my Amtrak trips but every where to share with those in need on the streets and sometimes just as passengers who run out of mony on their trips on the Amtrak trip they may be on from place to palce and trip to trip and what ever city I am visiting on my trips too and around town in Klamath Falls, Oregon where I live as a calling for me to help others in need.
