While I was in Eugene, I was going to spend the time checking out the Ampitheater and on my way I stopped by Eugene city hall to ask the clerks at the front desk what were some of the tourist attractions to see in Eugene if the tourist time was a short window of time like on the trip from Klamath Falls to Eugene. And several places were suggested by them. There are great walkways along the way in downtown Eugene and walking paths that lead to many different places in the Eugene downtown area.

On my way to the Ampitheater to check it out I came across a young man who was less fortunate from a different state.

Don’t recall the state he said he was from, but he had been on the streets close to two years now in Eugene with his shopping cart full of all his personal belongings. Another reason when I am out and about as to why I carry with me full water bottles and pastries to give to the less fortunate on my trips to each city I visit including when I am out and about in Klamath Falls, Oregon as well.

At first he did not want to take the things I was offering to him. But I mentioned if he didn’t need it right now he could maybe give what I was giving to him to someone else he knew and that it would lighten my load as carrying what I carry gets heavy carrying it around with me until I can give it away to someone who needs it more than I do.

Instead of heading to the Ampith-eater and going and checking it out for my future tours in Eugene. I spent the time with this young unfortunate less fortunate person living on the streets until it was too late for me to head to and check out Ampitheater as my Amtrak train was due to arrive for my trip back home to Klamath Falls, Oregon. We parted our ways and I headed back to the Amtrak train station to catch my train back home again.
