Family History of Tulelake- Baley's Part three

I did not know much about grand pas’ family he passed away when I was just 14. I heard I had an uncle Rude but don’t know which grandparent he was the brother of. Next time we will fast forward to my uncles and Aunts and their families. I did get to know my great grandmother who read to me in Slovak she could not speak a word of English. She died when I was 3. While attending Shasta College i happened to come across a book written in Slovak and amazingly I comprehended that book. I even shocked myself. I contribute that to the attention I got from my great grandmother.

The Baley boys.

My mother met my father in Tulelake during their high school years. I am not sure exactly how they met what I do know is a group of teenagers use to go to the hot springs in the hills near Alturas and other various geological places of interest.

Jody Stacy my mother graduated from Tulelake High School in 1948 and attended college in Reno, Nevada. Bill Baley courted her until they were married in 1949. They were given the house on Drain 10 with the field that surrounded it where Bill grew potatoes (spuds).

Bill Baley and Jody Stacy had their first child Wiliam a Frank Baley Jr in 1950. Their second child Steven Raymond Baley was born in 1952 and the greatest gift ever for the Baley family in 1957. A girl Elayne Helene Baley, I had no idea until recently that my grand mother had 13 siblings.

I spent a lot of time with my grandmother Rose Baley. Maybe because she never had a girl. She only had 3 boys. In order were John Charles Baley. William Frank Baley, Edward James Baley. And Ronald Richard Baley. There were two years between John and Bill and two years between Bill and Ed. Several years later Ronnie was born.
