Growing up in a small town-Lanie Baley P2

Mom worked at Clayton's Department store, and she worked at a soda fountain place where they made hamburgers called the Honker. It had pool tables in the back, but you had to be so old before you could go back there but I used to be able to go back there be-fore a certain time of night as long as I was with one of my brothers. They also had pinball machines that I used to have to stand on a chair so I could play. I was good at it …

Mrs Winthers was my first grade teacher she was awesome like a grandma grandma type teacher. I used to stay after school with her sometimes to help her out and I remember one day I walked in and she had tacks in her mouth and it scared her. She told me to never ever ever do that because I could swallow them and I thought well I thought...
