Klamath Falls, Oregon- Finally, Amtrak train 14 arrived in Klamath Falls for the tour trip to Eugene March 6th and 7th, 2025. Emergency Services Hold: As of 7:27 AM PT, Train 14 is currently experiencing a delay north of Dunsmuir (DUN) due to a medical emergency requiring medical services onboard.

Travel Resumption: As of 8:24 AM PT, Train 14 has resumed service and is currently operating approximately 50 mins late. Boarded at around 8:24 AM for my seat in the lower section of Amtrak train 14 heading to Eugene. Once I was settled in my seat at the front of the lower-level cabin I introduced myself and began handing out maps about the trip to Eugene.

After handing out a couple maps of the trip from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Eugene headed to the Observation coach to find a free table where I could sit and then start handing out copies of the map of all the interesting sites on the way up on Amtrak train 14 to Eugene, Oregon.

Plus, shared and passed out some my old issues of “Voices”, Magazine and “Simple Truth”, Magazine back issues. In the process meeting people on the train and finding out where they were heading and what was going on with them.

Before getting on Amtrak train 14 met two different people on the train ride to Eugene. The first person I met was John who was heading to Eugene to live for a while. Met John first thing before the Amtrak train arrived as we waiting for the Amtrak train station to open up as it was defiantly very cold outside as we waited for Amtrak number 14 train to Eugene, Oregon.

When I left for this trip and my taxi was scheduled to pick me up from Access Taxi at 6:45 AM, went off without my coffee and few other items I forgot and by accident left behind in my apartment, nothing major or I would need on this trip. No big deal.

Amtrak train station in Klamath Falls opened its doors and then was able to get inside and bought a hot cup of coffee out of their coffee machine inside the train station in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Just before I made my selection a gentleman walked up to me and made the comment, “Anything good”. Which I replied, “I usually get a “French Vanilla”. Then we parted ways waiting for the arrival of Amtrak number 14 to Eugene, which was running a little behind schedule on this overnight stay over trip so I was not concerned about the train being late for this trip as I would not have to worry about the lay over time if the train was late getting to Eugene.
